Eyes on the Prize

I started the year running straight towards building a greater relationship with God. I had my Eyes on the Prize and that is to commit myself to the Lord our God.
I was committed to build my prayer and devotional life and fully connect with God everyday. I wanted to know Him more, I wanted to follow his ways. I was running on His direction.
Then, without me knowing, when life got too busy with all the office deadlines, household chores, bills to pay, car maintenance and relationship concerns. I was slowing down. Not only that, I was running on a different direction. I had my eyes on a different prize. I had my eye on different solutions to fix my problems.
I forgot the goal. I forgot the direction to connect with God. I was running on a track that led nowhere. Everything feels heavy. I am almost out of breath.
I need to stop and look for Him. I needed to go back and keep my eyes on Him.
My Heart Letter to God ~ Feb 21
Dear God,
I am lost. I am tired. I need your help.
Please put me back on track to follow your ways. I want to run to you. I want to run for you.
Fill my heart with the grace that will endure despite all the challenges I have today. Let me persevere and remember that you love me. Reveal to me my purpose, make me move to the direction you want me to go. Help me carry out your will.
Kindly lead me back to your ways Lord. You are our God. I want to follow you. Teach me to be humble, teach me to be godly. Have a place in my heart Lord. Come into my life.
Help me build my relationship with you and if it is your will, let it be done to me according to your word.
Amen

Starting Point

When things get too crazy, one tends to go back to the starting point. How we strive to have a fresh start and do it all over again. Back at the starting point we can correct mistakes. We can make the correct choices. Do it better, smarter, and faster. Do things easier.
Even if we know that going back to the starting point will give us balance in life, it is not always that easy to do.
We are bound by certain conditions and situations brought about our past actions. We are trapped in a world that spins us around and around. How can we get back?
We need to go back to Jesus Christ. We may not have the power to go back to the starting point, but He will do it for us. For God moves in mysterious ways, he will make it happen. We just need to believe and run back to Him.
Let us make Jesus our starting point. Let Him build our lives.
My Heart Letter to God ~ Feb 13
Dear God,
Thank you for making me aware that you offer me a fresh start.
Reveal to me areas in my life that consumes my time and hinders true growth. Help me focus my dreams, aspiration and energy to your purpose in my life.
Please keep me steady and show me how to go back to your love. I want your love in my life. Teach me to feel your love and use it for your glory. Let me follow you again Lord.
Remove the chain that keeps me locked away from you. Let me go back to you. Get me back to the starting point.
Build a foundation in me that will be more than a habit. Give me such a strong foundation that it will be a lifestyle.
Let me have you Lord in my life. Teach me to look for you when I open my eyes in the morning. Let me hunger for your word when I get out of bed. Let me follow your ways Lord.
Get me back to the Starting point. Let me build my life around you again. This is how it was suppose to be. Let me live my life with you as the main purpose.
All of this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ your Son.
Amen.

Energizer Bunny

The Energizer Bunny is one of the most popular TV commercial icons for energy, liveliness and resilience.  You know how it keeps going, and going and going…
Today, because of the crazy schedule at work, I only got 4 hours of sleep. I would prefer to have at least 6 hours of sleep to fully charge-up and get up for work.
Amidst all the things that consume my time, focus and energy, with all the task, chores, duties and responsibilities in a day, It leaves me weak.
But, I will not complain. I will take it all in. God has a plan for me. He wants me to do his will. All I need to do is to run to Him for strength, for His grace is sufficient.
I will not get tired. I will go forward and continue. I will remember how the Lord blessed me. How he provided me with the things that I need, and with the people I love.
I will remember that He loves me. His love will give me strength. His love will energize my soul, my mind, my heart and my body.
I will do great things.
My Heart Letter to God ~ Feb 09
Dear God,
Thank you for your love. Your love fuels my life.
Thank you for your grace. You gave me strength. Your love for me is sufficient.
With you in my life, I know I will have all the energy in the world. I will not feel tired. I will last long. I will make it through.
Touch my life today Lord, and constantly make me feel your presence. You will provide for me. Reveal to me the strength you keep in me. Help me to do more. Push me to be better.
Give me the strength to carry out your will.
All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ your son.
Amen.

Heart Letters To God

In an effort to pay attention to prayer and have a deeper relationship with the Lord our God, I resolve to write down my prayers, thought and feeling for the Lord.
Like love letters to a loved one. I shall call this my Heart Letters to God.
Daily, I spend most of my time in front of my computer. I read and reply to hundreds of emails from family, friends, co-workers, and bosses. As I do my best to read and understand their messages. One by one, I send my carefully thought out reply to them.
With this blog, my desire is to reply to God’s grace, mercy and influence in my life. To reach out to Him, talk to Him and forge a deeper connection with Him.
My Heart Letter to God ~ Feb 08
Dear God,
Thank you for finally giving me the time to commit this action to you today. Let me take in your guidance and understanding for my life.
Help me to connect with you and spend time with you. Please clear my heart and mind. Let me speak clearly with you.
Help me be still and quiet. Give me the capability to hear your messages Lord. Give me the wisdom, courage and strength to carry out your will.
Thank you for showing me your Love, teach me to Love you more through others. Constantly remind me, that I do this for Your glory. This is all for you my Lord our God.
All of this I ask in the name of Jesus Christ your son.
Amen.
